Helping you to connect the dots, so you can grow.
Sometimes, life can feel overwhelming, and reaching out for support can be a bold, transformative step. I offer therapeutic counselling for individuals who are seeking support with emotional and psychological difficulties. This is done confidentially, and in a safe and compassionate way where you don’t have to face things alone.
I work using an integrative approach, drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This means our work together is tailored to your unique lived experience. Together, we explore what is affecting your life and find ways to move forward that feel right for you.
What to expect
Counselling provides a space for deep reflection, a space where honesty in a non-judgmental setting can enhance our understanding not just of ourselves, but others too. I encourage you to talk through thoughts and emotions that may feel confusing, painful, or hard to put into words. Many clients discover new insights about themselves during the counselling process, identifying strengths and possibilities they hadn’t noticed before. It is this very awareness that can open doors to meaningful change.
Issues I work with
Abuse; abandonment; addiction; anger; attachment issues; bereavement; body dysmorphia; bullying; career counselling; depression; disabilities; discrimination; dissociation; eating disorders; employment issues; hearing loss; loneliness; low self-esteem; LGBT issues; obsessive compulsive disorder; passive aggressive behaviour; personality disorders; post-traumatic stress disorder; relationship struggles; self-harm and self-care; sexual issues; sexual health; sexuality; stress; and trauma.
Understanding your past
Psychodynamic work helps explore how past experiences may still be shaping your present. Healing often involves gently revisiting what has been carried for a long time, allowing space for loss, grief, and trauma to be processed with care. Understanding our past can be transformative - I have seen it many times in my client work.
Focusing on the here and now
Using a humanistic approach, we reflect on what is troubling you right now. Sometimes, simply knowing it’s okay not to feel okay can bring relief. From there, we can his the pause button, reflect, and take in what is happening in the here and now. This approach can be very effective in helping individuals to establish ways of moving forward.
Creating change for the future
CBT can help you recognise and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, supporting you to develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. The way we respond to things is entrenched into our behaviour from a young age and CBT can be very effective at establishing new ways of being if current ways of being aren't particularly helpful.
If you are considering counselling, you’re very welcome to book a session.
We can take things at your pace, and begin wherever you are.
Choosing the right clinical supervisor is an important decision. Supervision is not about being “good enough” or not. It is about feeling supported, held, and professionally understood so you can offer the very best to your clients. Just as your clients benefit from a strong therapeutic relationship, therapists thrive when they feel supported, understood, and thoughtfully challenged. Supervision truly is a win–win.
I offer clinical supervision for counsellors and therapists (and trainee counsellors) who want a reflective, compassionate, and collaborative space to explore their client work. I recognise the increasing complexity and diversity of clients we work with, and I aim to provide supervision that feels grounding and ethically sound.
The way I work
My supervision practice is rooted in the Seven Eyed Model of Supervision developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet. This well-established model allows us to explore your work from multiple perspectives. Together, we can reflect on both the clinical material and your lived experience as a practitioner.
The Seven Eyed Model allows us to explore:
My aim is to offer supervision that feels supportive, reflective and practical. Supervision with me is somewhere you can feel safe to think, question and grow. If you are looking for supervision that values you as much as your work, I would like to support you in your work.
Help Me Set Up My Own Private Practice
Setting up your own private practice is an exciting step in your professional journey, but it can also feel daunting. I remember that feeling well. Regardless of your therapeutic modality, many of the same regulatory, ethical, and practical considerations apply to us all. Knowing what to prioritise, and in what order, can make the difference between feeling overwhelmed and feeling confident. This is why I offer a Setting Up Your Own Counselling Practice programme to guide you through the process with clarity, compassion, and real-world insight.
What if I told you that, in just three hours, you would have all the information you need to set up your private practice? Honestly, it's true!
These sessions are designed to support you not just as a practitioner, but as a person building a sustainable practice. I understand the hopes, fears and questions that often arise at this stage and I aim to create a space where you feel informed and encouraged.
What to expect
You’ll learn the importance of researching your business idea, helping you ensure your practice is viable, ethical, and aligned with your values. We will then cover essential business basics, breaking them down in a way that feels manageable and relevant.
We will explore the therapeutic space itself, considering what helps clients feel safe and supported, before moving into administrative matters. You will also receive guidance on what to include in client contracts, alongside thoughtful discussion around boundaries and the importance of self-care, so your practice supports your wellbeing as well as your clients’.
To help you sustain momentum, we’ll look at ways to stay motivated, and you’ll be introduced to branding your business, ensuring your practice reflects who you are and the work you offer.
If you are ready to build your private practice with confidence and care, I’d love to support you every step of the way. Beyond these session, you might need additional Marketing Support. Click on the button below for more information.
Help Me In My Established Private Practice
Being an established therapist does not make running a private practice effortless. In fact, once the training is complete and the doors are open, many practitioners discover that sustaining a business brings its own unique challenges.
You may find yourself juggling client work alongside endless administrative tasks, wondering if your systems are efficient or compliant. You might feel unsure about how to market your practice in a way that feels authentic, ethical, and aligned with your values as a therapist. Perhaps you know what you want your practice to become, but you are unsure how to get there. It maybe that you simply don’t have the energy to do it alone.
This is where support can make a real difference. You do not need to carry every aspect of your business by yourself. I offer practical support tailored specifically to your needs. Whether you need help organising administrative processes, refining your marketing, clarifying your direction, or simply having a trusted professional to think things through with, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Running a sustainable private practice is not just about working harder. It is about working more wisely, with support from someone who knows what you are are going through. You are not alone in this, and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. With the right guidance, your practice can feel more manageable, more focused, and more aligned with the work you truly want to be doing.
